Q: How to replace the steering knuckle on 2002 Buick Century?
A: Initially, lift and adequately support the vehicle. Pull the bearing/hub assembly off, then undo the front lower control arm ball stud and outtie rod end from the Steering Knuckle. Then scribe the strut to the knuckle, alternative it is removed with bolts and nuts which attach the strut to the knuckle and take off the knuckle from the vehicle. On installation, place the knuckle back onto the vehicle while making sure to install the two bolts and nuts that fasten the strut to the knuckle and doing it with a 122 nm(90 ft. Lbs. Of torque). Next, install the outer tie rod to the Steering Knuckle and install the front lower control arm ball stud to the knuckle and also install the front wheel drive shaft bearing. Lastly, lower the vehicle and check the fornt wheel alignment and adjust if necessary.
