The left closeout/insulator panel should be removed after pushing the locking tabs inward to let go of the transaxle range selector cable from its bracket. Start by taking off the retaining clip from the range selector cable then separate the cable from the column control lever and the steering column bracket. Pull the range selector cable into the cowl opening through the existing hole. Whenever installing the range selector cable ensure it passes correctly through the engine compartment before putting it through the cowl to connect it with the steering column bracket using a retaining clip.
