Q: How to replace the right engine mount bracket on 2002 Buick Park Avenue?
A: A replacement of the right Engine Mount Bracket requires the vehicle to be raised along with appropriate vehicle support while the right front fascia extension needs removal. A suitable jack supports the engine assembly for removal of the right Engine Mount Bracket nut that connects the right Engine Mount to its respective bracket. Begin by dropping the engine slightly and remove the right Engine Mount Bracket fasteners which connect it to the engine to permit removal of the right Engine Mount Bracket stud and finally remove the right Engine Mount Bracket. To install the right Engine Mount Bracket fit it onto the right Engine Mount stud of the engine while using thread lock compound gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent on right Engine Mount Bracket bolts. Use loose fasteners to attach the two lower right Engine Mount Bracket bolts while applying thread lock compound gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent to the right Engine Mount Bracket stud. The right Engine Mount Bracket stud needs to be installed to the engine with 8 nm (71 inch lbs.) torque until completion of right Engine Mount Bracket nut installation at 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). Lift up the engine to proper positioning before securing the right Engine Mount to the right Engine Mount Bracket using a 80 nm (59 ft.lbs) torque setting. To finish the procedure you need to remove the engine support jack while reinstalling the right front fascia extension followed by lowering the vehicle.
