The correct procedure to replace the right Engine Mount Bracket starts with elevating and supporting the vehicle. The right front fascia extension needs removal followed by suitable engine assembly suspension using a jack. Once you remove the right Engine Mount nut from its bracket you can allow the engine to move downward through slight reduction of the jack height. Initial steps involve removing three fasteners from the right Engine Mount Bracket that attaches to the engine and subsequent elimination of the right Engine Mount Bracket stud and bracket itself. You should install the right Engine Mount Bracket by positioning it on the front Engine Mount stud and engine and apply thread lock compound gm p/n 12345493 or equivalent to the right Engine Mount Bracket bolts. The installer should install the two lower right Engine Mount Bracket bolts loosely before applying thread lock gm p/n 12345493 or equivalent to the right Engine Mount Bracket stud. You should install the right Engine Mount Bracket stud to the engine before tightening it to 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). Set the right Engine Mount Bracket nut on the engine before fastening the right Engine Mount brackets at 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). The right Engine Mount Bracket requires installation of its nut joined to the right Engine Mount Bracket. Torque this fastener to 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). As the final step place the engine support jack into storage while installing the right front fascia extension and lowering the vehicle.

The replacement process of the right Engine Mount Bracket starts by elevating and sustaining the vehicle. The right front fascia extension must be taken out before you support the engine assembly with an appropriate jack. The right Engine Mount should be detached from its bracket through removing the securing nut followed by gently lowering the jack position to allow the engine descent. The right Engine Mount Bracket can be replaced by first removing three fasteners that bond the bracket to the engine before removing both the Engine Mount stud and bracket itself. When installing the right Engine Mount Bracket users must position it on the right Engine Mount stud and engine and apply gm p/n 12345493 thread lock compound (Canadian P/N 10953488) to the right Engine Mount Bracket bolts. The two lower right Engine Mount Bracket bolts should be installed loosely before applying thread lock compound to the right Engine Mount Bracket stud. Reposition the right Engine Mount Bracket stud to the engine before torquing it to 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). Use the right Engine Mount Bracket nut to install on the engine and fasten the right Engine Mount Bracket with 60 nm torque strength (44 ft. Lbs.). Put the engine in position before securing the right Engine Mount with its bracket through a 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.) torque. Complete the task by taking away the engine support jack then put back the right front fascia extension and let the vehicle reduce to ground position.

The vehicle needs adequate elevation and support before one can begin the replacement of the right Engine Mount through usage of a suitable engine support jack. Change the right Engine Mount from the right Engine Mount Bracket by removing its securing nut while adjusting the jack height to lower the engine. First remove the bolt and the two nuts which fasten the mount to the body frame rail. Then extract the right Engine Mount from this position. Place the right Engine Mount against the body frame rail before installing its attaching bolt and nut. Secure the right Engine Mount to the body frame rail by using the two nuts (1, 2) and tighten them to 70 nm (52 ft. Lbs.). Position the engine and install the right Engine Mount Bracket nut to its bracket using a torque of 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). Use the engine support jack to finish the installation. Afterward lower the vehicle.

The replacement process for the right Engine Mount starts with a vehicle lift combined with a suitable engine jack for holding the engine assembly. After removing the right Engine Mount nut from its attachment to the right Engine Mount Bracket allow the jack to descend slightly so the engine can drop. First sever the bolt and two nuts that fasten the mount to the body frame rail before extracting the right Engine Mount. Place the right Engine Mount to the body frame rail before installing both attaching bolt and nut. Following installation of the two nuts apply torque of 70 nm (52 ft. Lbs.) to secure the right Engine Mount to body frame rail connection. Place the engine into its needed position before you install the nut which connects the right Engine Mount to the right motor mount bracket. Tighten this nut to 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). The last step includes removing the engine support jack and lowering the vehicle to the ground.

The process to replace right engine mounts starts by raising and supporting the vehicle then using a suitable hard to support the engine assembly. Lower the engine using a suitable jack after first unpacking the nut that joins the right Engine Mount to its bracket. Start by first removing the bolt and the two nuts which secure the mount to the body frame rail, then take away the right Engine Mount . The right Engine Mount should be placed onto the body frame rail before installing the mount attaching bolt and nut as per fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten two nuts to the body frame rail before securing the right Engine Mount with 70 nm torque setting to body frame rail nuts (1, 2). Lift up the engine so you can fasten the right Engine Mount nut onto the mount bracket through reversing torque to 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). Lower the vehicle by removing the engine support jack at last.

The first step involves raising and supporting the vehicle when replacing the right Engine Mount Bracket. The right wheelhouse extension must be taken off before supporting the engine assembly with an appropriate jack. Put on the right Engine Mount Bracket nut onto the engine structure before tightening the right Engine Mount Bracket fasteners to 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). Shifting the engine upwards enables you to install the right Engine Mount Bracket nut which requires tightness at 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). To complete the task simply take out the engine support jack before reinstalling the right wheelhouse extension while lowering the vehicle.

Install a jack stand to support the powertrain.

Verify that the source of the fluid is indeed the mount and not the engine, transmission/transaxle, or accessories.

Tighten them to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

Raise and support the vehicle.

Detach the power steering pressure hose and return hose.

First, remove the front transmission mount bracket.

Slowly lower the powertrain using the jack stand and take out the mount.

Remove the nut securing the right engine mount to the right engine mount bracket.

Lower the jack slightly to allow the engine to lower.

Take out the right engine mount bracket stud.

Remove the mount stud nut from the mount stud, followed by the nut, bolt, and nuts from the vehicle.

Raise the engine into position and install the nut securing the right engine mount to the right engine mount bracket, tightening it to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.).

Lower the vehicle.

Raise and support the vehicle, then support the engine assembly with a suitable jack.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Reinstall the power steering gear heat shield.

Install the Engine Support Fixture (J28467-A).

The mount stud nut.

Reinstall the power steering gear heat shield.

Remove the nut securing the right engine mount to the right engine mount bracket.

Lower the vehicle and take out the front transmission mount.

Tighten to 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs.).

Lower the vehicle and take out the front transmission mount.
