How to replace the rear automatic motor and transmission mount on 2004 Buick LeSabre?

The process of replacing the rear automatic transmission mount starts with vehicle elevation and support before the power steering gear heat shield comes off for disconnecting pressure and return hoses from the Rack And Pinion which are then suspended from the exhaust pipe. A transaxle support stand must support the transaxle before the mount bracket nuts are removed followed by the mount lower bolts and nut and the three retaining bolts from the mount bracket. Reinstall both the mount and the mount bracket onto the vehicle after their removal. Guideline gm p/n 12345493 thread lock compound or an equivalent product must be applied to all rear transmission bracket bolts before installing the mount bracket retaining bolts at 63 nm torque (46 ft. Lbs.). Tighten the transmission mount's lower end bolts with 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) torque while also screwing the upper nuts onto the mount with 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). After removing the transaxle support stand you should connect the power steering return hose and pressure hose to the Rack And Pinion. Lastly position the power steering gear heat shield above the Rack And Pinion before lowering the vehicle.
