  A: To replace the Crankshaft rear oil seal, first, remove the engine Flywheel and ensure to acknowledge the leak of the Crankshaft rear oil seal without damaging the Crankshaft od surface or chamfer with a flat-bladed tool. Using a small flat-bladed tool, pry out the Crankshaft rear oil seal as follows: insert the tool through the dust lip at an angle and move the handle towards the end of the Crankshaft; repeat as necessary. Examine the bore id and repair or replace id of the Crankshaft rear oil seal covering as necessary and inspect the Crankshaft for nicks or burrs on the surface that comes into contact with the seal, repairing or replacing the Crankshaft, as necessary. During installation, apply engine oil to the inner and outer diameter of the new Crankshaft rear oil seal then push it on over the installation mandrel until it stops bottoms on the collar of the j 38196 rear Crankshaft Seal installer (J 38196). With your hand tighten the j 38196 to the Crankshaft on to the screws and tighten them to 5 nm (54 inch lbs); turn the t-handle of the j 38196 to push the seal into the bore and make sure the collar is tight against the case so that it seats properly. It is advisable to loosen the t-handle till it stops to orienting the collar to install a further new target Crankshaft rear oil seal and then remove the mounting screws. Last, replace the engine Flywheel and check for correct levels of oil as well as any leaks.
