How to Change the Motor and Transmission Mount on a Buick LeSabre?

Start the replacement process of the rear automatic transmission mount by elevating and supporting your vehicle. You need to eliminate the power steering gear heat shield before disconnecting both power steering hoses from the Rack And Pinion while suspending them from the exhaust pipe. The support stand for the transaxle should be put into place before you unscrew the mount bracket nuts followed by the lower mount bolts and nut. Begin the replacement task by removing three retaining bolts from the mount bracket then pulling out the mount bracket and mount from the vehicle. Start by placing the mount with the mount bracket on the vehicle while using gm p/n 12345493 thread lock compound or equivalent on rear transmission bracket bolts. Fix the retaining bolts to the mount bracket before torquing them to 63 nm (46 ft. Lbs.). After securing the lower nuts and bolts on the mount use a torque wrench set to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) before securing the upper bolts to a torque of 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). First remove the transaxle support stand before reinstalling the power steering return hose and pressure hose onto the Rack And Pinion assembly followed by the power steering gear heat shield. Finally, lower the vehicle.
