2005 Buick LeSabre Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the right engine mount bracket on 2005 Buick LeSabre?
A: The first step to replace the right Engine Mount Bracket includes vehicle elevation and support. Begin by taking off the right front fascia extension followed by using a suitable jack for supporting the engine assembly. Proceed by removing the nut that holds the right Engine Mount to the right Engine Mount Bracket before lowering the jack for the engine to descend. Start by taking out the three fasteners that hold the right Engine Mount Bracket to the engine structure before removing its bracket stud and bracket. The right Engine Mount Bracket should be placed on the front Engine Mount stud and engine after applying thread lock compound gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) to the right Engine Mount Bracket bolts. First install the lower right Engine Mount Bracket bolts in a loose manner before applying thread lock compound to the right Engine Mount Bracket stud which must be tightened to 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). You should install the right Engine Mount Bracket nut to the engine before tightening right Engine Mount Bracket fasteners to 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). Secure the right Engine Mount to the right Engine Mount Bracket through installation of the mounting nut so that torque reaches 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). The procedure ends by removing the engine support jack while you reinstall the right front fascia extension and then lower the vehicle.
