The next step requires removal of the air cleaner intake duct. The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) realigns the water outlet housing clamp before extracting the radiator inlet hose from that housing. Using a screwdriver remove the bolts securing the water outlet housing before removing the housing and gasket together. Remove the Thermostat while cleaning the mating surfaces of the water outlet gasket. Begin by installation of the Thermostat before adding the gasket and water outlet housing. Secure the water outlet housing components using a torque of 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Secure the Radiator Hose to the water outlet housing by using hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to guide and install the hose clamp. After completing cooling system fluid addition you should install the air cleaner intake duct while checking for leaks during a final inspection.
