Start by removing bolts from the water outlet housing before you detach the water outlet housing combined with its gasket to expose the Thermostat. Examine and prepared the mating surfaces after removing the Thermostat. Reinstall the new Thermostat together with a gasket after positioning them. Then replace the water outlet housing as an installation step. Wash and dry each water outlet housing bolt prior to applying rtv sealer gm p/n 1052366 or equivalent before securing them with 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.) torque. Reposition the Radiator Hose on the water outlet housing by using hose clamp pliers (J 38185) followed by clamp installation. Finish your installation by adding the throttle body air inlet duct before filling your cooling system and reinstalling the fuel injector sight shield while checking for leaks throughout the process.
