  A: The Thermostat installation starts by taking out the fuel injector sight shield then draining part of the cooling system. Use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to shift the water outlet housing clamp position then detach the radiator inlet hose from its housing. The water outlet housing bolt and stud need removal before the water outlet housing and gasket can be taken away. Begin by cleaning and examining the mating surfaces of the water outlet housing gasket followed by Thermostat removal. Begin the installation process by putting in the Thermostat then the gasket and finally the water outlet housing. Fasten the water outlet housing bolt and stud to the housing with 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.) torque. Seam your radiator inlet hose to the water outlet housing before installing the hose clamp using hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Fill the system with fluid then reinstall the fuel injector sight shield.
