Q: How to replace the Turn Signal Switch on 2002 Buick Regal?
A: In order to replace the multifunction turn signal lever of the vehicle first relieve the battery negative and deactivate the sir system. Unscrew the Steering Wheel and also take off the steering column trim covers and remove the wire harness straps from the wire harness assembly on the steering column. Remove the multifunction switch assembly connector from the sir coil assembly connector and remove the multifunction switch assembly connectors from steering column bulkhead connector. Take out the screws from the multifunction switch assembly and remove the multifunction switch assembly from the steering column. For installation, compress with the help of small flat-blade tool the electrical contact and install the multifunction switch assembly in the steering column, make sure the electrical contact is on the turn signal canceling cam. After, install the multifunction switch assembly screws to the multifunction switch assembly and tighten them to 7 nm (62 inch lbs.). Connect the multifunction switch assembly connectors into the steering column bulkhead connector and reconnect to the sir coil assembly connector. Replace the wire harness assembly to the steering column wire harness straps make sure the lever is centered off then replace the Steering Wheel column covers/trims and the return the Steering Wheel to the steering column. Finally, turn on the sir system and reconnect the negative cable of the battery.
