2002 Cadillac Eldorado Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the starter motor on 2002 Cadillac Eldorado?
A: Start the replacement of the Starter motor by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the Intake Manifold. The next step consists of removing the bat cable from the Starter followed by detached "s" terminal wire from the Starter. Use a wrench to take out the two bolts which secure the Starter motor while extracting the motor from its position. Secure the Starter motor "s" terminal wire and fasten the solenoid s terminal nut to 4 n.m (35 lb in). Secure the Starter bat terminal wire then tighten its Battery Cable to Starter terminal nut until it reaches 10 n.m torque (89 lb in torque). Install the Starter motor while using the mounting bolts before securing them with 30 n.m (22 lb ft) torque. The procedure ends by reconnecting the battery negative cable while reinstalling the Intake Manifold.
