First remove the generator output bat terminal nut by disconnecting the generator's positive lead before moving the protective cover away from the bat terminal. To extract the a/c compressor/generator front bracket securely place the generator above the a/c compressor clutch pulley and remove three bolts securing this section to the engine and a/c compressor before backing out the bracket and rotating the generator for vehicle removal. Connect the wiring harness connector to the generator before you connect the battery positive lead and tighten the generator output bat terminal nut to 12.5 n.m (111 lb in). To finish installation, apply the generator output bat terminal cover followed by mounting the access panel to the lower front compartment. Use 20 n.m (15 lb ft) torque when tightening the securing bolts. After lowering the vehicle down you should install the upper front mounting bolt while maintaining a torque of 47 n.m (35 lb ft).
