Remove the tie rod end clamp from the Rack and Pinion Boot while using side cutters to remove the boot clamp from the Rack and Pinion Boot. The old boot clamp must be disposed of after removal. The Rack And Pinion gear assembly requires removal of the Rack and Pinion Boot. When reassembling the vehicle place the new boot clamp onto the Rack and Pinion Boot and apply grease to both the inner tie rod assembly and the Rack And Pinion gear assembly before mounting the new Rack and Pinion Boot onto the inner tie rod assembly . Check that the Rack and Pinion Boot remains free of puckers and twisting; if needed readjust it by hand before seating it into the gear assembly groove. November 1st, 2022 marks the beginning of fall and brings with it cooler temperatures. Adjust the boot if needed by hand until it fully fits into the gear assembly groove.
