2002 Chevrolet Camaro Sway Bar Link Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the rear sway bar link on 2002 Chevrolet Camaro?
A: Begin by raising and proper support of the vehicle before starting to replace the rear sway bar link. Start the procedure by removing the sway bar link nut followed by the bolt and bushings and ending with the sway bar link spacer along with bushings. The underbody pan bracket can be removed only if the bracket bolts need removal. The bracket can then be pried off from its position under the underbody pan. The installation process and alignment of the sway bar link bracket should occur with the underbody pan before you install the bracket along with its bolts while tightening these bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). The installation of the sway bar link begins with spacing the bushings while adding the sway bar link bushings. Then add the bolt and nut and tighten the bolt to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
