Adjust the cutting tools of the lathe against the disc friction zones while checking the witness mark for correct linkage position. Recorrect the alignment if the witness mark falls short of achieving three-quarter rotation on the disc. The lathe requires engine disc preparation following factory guidelines and checks thickness after each stroke before replacing the disc when maximum thickness is hit. Use the stated speed setting and sand using 120 grit aluminum oxide sandpaper for non-directional tools while maintaining 150 grit aluminum oxide sandpaper against the friction surface. Use denatured alcohol or brake cleaner to clean all friction surfaces before taking the brake disc off the lathe.
