Next, attach the steering column lock pin (J 42640) to the steering column and take off the Steering Wheel set nut and throw it away. Then, fit the Steering Wheel puller legs (J 42120) and Steering Wheel puller (J 1859-A) to the Steering Wheel in such a way that screws the puller center onto the steering column shaft until the Steering Wheel falls free. Once the puller tools are removed, place the new Steering Wheel onto the steering column, aligning with the alignment marks (splines). Install a new Steering Wheel set nut and tighten it to 41 nm (30 fts. Lbs.). Lastly, take the steering column lock pin (J 42640), reattach the horn electrical connector, and the Steering Wheel inflator module before you run a sir diagnostic system check.
