How to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer) on 2002 Chevrolet Express 2500?

If service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer); firstly turn ignsission OFF and remove the engine cover. Drain the coolant below the level of ECT sensor, then, remove the electrical connector from ECT sensor and remove it carefully. For installation, apply the sealer GM P/N 9985253 or equivalent, install the ECT sensor and tight it up to 20 N.m (15 lb ft). Then you should connect the ECT sensor harness connector to ECT sensor, refill the cooling system, and at last install the engine cover.
