  A: No ignition needs to be switched off when replacing the air cleaner. You must remove the air cleaner retaining screws followed by the cover until the air cleaner becomes free. Check the air cleaner for needed replacement before continuing. Begin by disconnecting three elements: the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector, the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector, and the breather tube from the air intake duct. To access the air intake duct you must loosen both clamps and remove the duct. To install the component position the new air cleaner inside the assembly while you place the air cleaner cover on top. Use 6 n.m (40 lb in) torque to tighten the air cleaner retainer screws. Put the air intake duct back then secure it with the two air intake duct clamps. The air intake duct receives the breather tube first while the installation continues with connecting the iat sensor electrical connector followed by the maf sensor electrical connector.
