How to service the Air Filter element on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
Firstly, turn off the ignition to service the Air Filter. Take the Air Filter retaining screws off and remove the cover and remove the Air Filter and inspect it for the need of a replacement. Remove the m.a.f (Mass Air Flow Sensor) sensor electrical connection, at (Automatic Transmission) sensor electrical connector, and the breather tube from the air intake duct. Take out the air intake duct by loosening the two air intake duct clamps. For installation, insert the Air Filter on the air cleaner assembly and cover it using the Air Filter cover. Bone the filter retainer screws, tighten them to 5-7 n.m (35-45 lb in). Reinstall the air intake duct and tighten the two air intake to duct clamps. Connect the breather tube to the air intake duct, connect the at sensor electrical and the mass air flow (MAF) sensor's electrical connection next.
