  A: Start servicing and fixing the wiper motor by disconnecting its electrical connector and removing the four bolts that hold it against the bulkhead. When servicing the wiper transmission claw at the bulkhead don't work on the wiper motor cranks independently or disconnect them from the wiper motor since this allows the wipers to return to their parked position by design. Lift the wiper transmission gently off its mount at the wiper motor crank arm before taking out the entire wiper motor. Install the wiper transmission unit to the wiper motor crank while placing the wiper motor against the bulkhead and securing it with four bolts tightened to 5.5 N.m (49 lb in). Reattach the wiper motor electrical connection at the end.
