How to Service and Repair an A/C Hose for Suction Hose on 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe?

A beginning step for servicing and repairing the a/c suction hose/line requires refrigerant recovery. Begin the suction hose repair process by removing the bolt located at the A/C Compressor and then removing the suction hose from the compressor. Remove the suction hose from its installation at the accumulator by first detaching the suction hose nut then removing the suction hose from the accumulator. Then pull the suction hose assembly out from the vehicle. Removal of waste sealing washers should be followed by system opening sealing. Start by installing the suction hose to the vehicle and then to the accumulator while you should tighten the suction hose nut to the accumulator at 16 n.m (12 lb ft). The suction hose installation begins with attaching new sealing washers before installing the hose to the A/C Compressor along with an A/C Compressor mounting bolt secured to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Evacuation together with recharging of the a/c system and a halogen leak detector test (J 39400-A) of component fittings must be conducted as the last step.
