    A: Service of the EGR Valve begins by disconnecting the electrical connector followed by removing both retaining bolts for complete removal of the valve. Remove all remaining parts of the EGR Valve Gasket from the Intake Manifold. The new EGR Valve Gasket will need installation before fitting the EGR Valve into place. Fastener notice in service precautions states that both retaining bolts must be tightened to 25 n.m (18 lb ft) and then EGR Valve electrical connector must be reattached.
