2002 Chevrolet Tracker Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the instrument panel Fuse Box on 2002 Chevrolet Tracker?
A: The procedure to replace the instrument panel electrical center or Fuse box begins with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removal of the ip steering column opening trim plate. The bracket with Fuel Pump Relay and main relay must slide out from the Fuse box's left front section. The process to replace the instrument panel electrical center or Fuse box starts with disconnecting g213, c205, and c204 inline connectors from the bottom of the Fuse box then disconnecting c4 and c5 Fuse box connectors from the front. Disembark the Fuse box from its resting positions by pressing out both attaching nuts which anchor it on the left hinge pillar and bulkhead. You should start by taking off the Fuse box from its retaining studs to reach its electrical connectors at the rear. After that detach the retaining tabs so you can separate the connector housing from the Fuse box. First disconnect Fuse box connectors c1, c2, and c3 from the rear section before completely removing the Fuse box out of the vehicle. Remove any turn/hazard flasher and fuses and relays which exist at the Fuse box's front face if needed. Installation starts by placing each Fuse along with relay components then continuing with the reinstallation of the turn/hazard flasher unit if needed. Secure the connector housing on the Fuse box by inserting the retaining tabs at the top after connecting Fuse box connectors c1, c2, and c3 to its rear side. Drive the Fuse box onto its retaining studs and fasten it using nuts (3,10) until they reach 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. Connect Fuse box connectors c4 and c5 first at the front section and subsequently attach inline connectors c213 then c205 followed by c204 to the bottom area. Reconnect the negative Battery Cable while reinstalling the ip steering column opening trim plate on one hand and replacing the bracket with the Fuel Pump Relay and main relay at the left front side of the Fuse box on the other hand.
