2003 Chevrolet Tracker Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the instrument panel Fuse Box on 2003 Chevrolet Tracker?
A: The process for instrument panel electrical center or Fuse box replacement begins with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable while following appropriate battery safety procedures. First remove the ip steering column opening trim plate before carefully sliding the bracket with Fuel Pump Relay and main relay from its position at the Fuse box left front side. Start by removing the bottom connections c213, c205 and c204 from the Fuse box and proceed with disconnecting Fuse box connectors c4 and c5 from the front. Remove the two nuts holding the Fuse box to the left hinge pillar and the nut which retains it to the bulkhead. Marine the Fuse box from its three retaining studs to view the electrical connectors located on the rear side. Next, obtain the Fuse box by first detaching connector housing retaining tabs situated above it before discharging Fuse box connectors c1, c2, and c3 from the rear side. You must remove fuses along with turn/hazard flashers which were installed on the Fuse box front surface. Installation begins with reinstallation of any remaining fuses and relays and ends with the reinstallation of the turn/hazard flasher when it was removed. Secure the retaining tabs to complete the connector housing connection to the Fuse box after uniting c1, c2 and c3 rear Fuse box connectors. Install the Fuse box onto its retaining studs then fasten it with three nuts (3,10) while tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). After connecting Fuse box front connectors c4 and c5 you should install bottom connectors c213 and c205 and c204. To finish the repair put back the bracket with Fuel Pump Relay and main relay at the left-front side of Fuse box then reinsert the ip steering column opening trim plate before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
