How to replace the Back Up Light Switch on 2003 Chevrolet Tracker?

To replace the back up lamp switch, start by lifting and supporting the vehicle accordingly. Then, pull off the transmission and make sure that it is lowered at least 8 inches to get to the back up lamp switch. Remove the back up lamp switch from the manual transmission upper case , disconnecting the electrical connector from the switch. Check the back up lamp switch o-ring for the cuts and damages, and replace it if necessary. Following this, replace the back up lamp switch back into the manual transmission upper case and tighten it to 20n.m (14 lb ft) according to the fastener notice in service precautions. Reconnect the electrical connector to the back up lamp switches, lift the transmission, then put all the parts back and lower down the vehicle.
