The first step for air cleaner replacement requires removing the radiator support cover. Begin by loosening the three retaining screws of the air cleaner cover/resonator then remove both components. Pull the air cleaner from its duct opening by twisting and tugging downward. Check the entire assembly thoroughly for debris and any damage then conduct required maintenance repairs. Place the new air cleaner onto the air cleaner outlet duct with a pushing motion and a twisting twist before snapping it down into the lower air cleaner housing/washer solvent tank assembly. Place the air cleaner cover/resonator assembly before securing all three retaining screws at 4 N.m (35 lb in). Put the radiator support cover back in place in the final step.
