Detach the inlet pipe from the air reaction pump which connects to the Air Filter's outlet duct. Three Air Filter housing retention screws need to be loosened before removing the housing. The Air Filter and air outlet duct must first be lifted from beneath the lower Air Filter housing/washer solvent tank assembly to remove the Air Filter by twisting and pulling from the air outlet duct. Examine the complete assembly pieces for dust along with debris and water indications then perform necessary cleaning or component replacement. To install the Air Filter place it on the air outlet duct with a pushing and twisting motion before inserting both into the lower Air Filter housing/washer solvent tank assembly and replace the Air Filter housing. Make sure the air inlet duct sits correctly within the lower Air Filter housing/washer solvent tank assembly before tightening all 3 Air Filter housing retaining screws to 4 n.m (35 lb in).
