How to replace the Brake Light Switch on 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

The replacement process starts by removing the Pushrod retainer and the stop lamp switch together with the Pushrod from the brake pedal pin. Before installation disconnect the electrical connector then separate the stoplamp switch. First connect the electrical connector to the stop lamp switch followed by placing the stop lamp switch onto the Pushrod before attaching it to the brake pedal pin. Secure the Pushrod retainer onto the brake pedal pin by sliding it in position until the retainer snaps.
