How to replace the Brake Light Switch on Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Start the switch replacement by taking off the left sound insulator first. The Pushrod retainer should be detached from the brake pedal pin before extracting the stop lamp switch and Pushrod from the pedal pin. Irreplace the electrical connector from the stop lamp switch before you take out the switch from the car. Connect the electrical connector to the stop lamp switch before placing the switch on the Pushrod and installing the whole assembly onto the brake pedal pin. Reinstall the brake pedal pin by snappin the Pushrod retainer back in place followed by installing the left sound insulator.
