Rotate the boot by one-half turn counterclockwise to remove it. First remove wires numbers 2, 4, and 6 connected to the front bank spark plugs then detach them from their retaining clips. Start by rotating the engine forward before removing each Spark Plug wire (1, 3, 5) with its retaining clip from rear bank spark plugs. The wires and engine must be detached next. When replacing Spark Plug wires system owners should move all boot heat shields along with Spark Plug wire conduit and Spark Plug wire retaining clips. Place the Spark Plug wires onto the ignition coils before attaching wires (1, 3, 5) to the rear bank spark plugs and positioning them correctly inside retaining clips. First normalize the engine alignment before you reattach the front spark plugs with wires (2, 4, 6) into their retaining clips.
