  Start with ignition off when servicing the Spark Plug wires. The boot can be released when twisted one-half turn but never apply force directly to the wire of the Spark Plug boot. Detach the Spark Plug wires labeled 2, 4 and 6 which are located at engine left side mount spark plugs. Also remove each wire from its retaining clip. You must first rotate the engine forward to get access before you remove the Spark Plug wires (1, 3 and 5) from the engine right side Spark Plug(s) that are still attached to their retaining clips. To start installation disconnect the Spark Plug wires from each Ignition Coil before removing them from the engine. When replacing Spark Plug wires always move boot heat shields along with Spark Plug wire conduit and Spark Plug wire retaining clips. Start the installation process by attaching Spark Plug wires to the engine before they reach their respective ignition coils. Screw in the Spark Plug wires 1, 3 and 5 to their corresponding engine right side Spark Plug(s), then fasten each wire in its designated retaining clip. The engine must be returned to its standard position before securing Spark Plug wires (2, 4 and 6) to left side spark plugs and fitting their retaining clips.
