  A: A mechanic should raise the vehicle while providing support to perform vss replacement procedures. Begin by removing the right front wheel together with its tire followed by the right engine splash shield. Remove the Vehicle Speed Sensor bolt while disconnecting its wiring harness connector. Gently extract the Vehicle Speed Sensor from its extension housing before removing the o-ring seal found on the sensor. Check the Vehicle Speed Sensor and o-ring seal to identify cracked housing, damaged connectors along with rotor damage or o-ring seal cuts and nicks. Place the o-ring seal onto the Vehicle Speed Sensor before putting the sensor inside the extension case for installation. You should install the Vehicle Speed Sensor bolt with a torque of 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). Connect the speed sensor wiring harness connector then reinstall the right engine splash shield and secure the right front tire and wheel. Finally, lower the vehicle.
