How to Replace a Vehicle Speed Sensor on 2001 Chevrolet Venture?

Before replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor raise and stabilize the vehicle for work. Start by taking off the tire and wheel from the right front area then the engine splash shield from the right side. Separate the Vehicle Speed Sensor wiring plug and unscrew the bolt as you remove the vss bolt. Handle the sensor with caution as you take it out of the extension case then extract the o-ring seal attached to the Vehicle Speed Sensor. Look for damaged connectors, housing cracks, rotor symptoms and cuts either on the o-ring seal or Vehicle Speed Sensor. Push the o-ring seal onto the Vehicle Speed Sensor and fit the sensor into the extension case. Thread the Vehicle Speed Sensor bolt and fasten it to 12 nm torque. Unplug the speed sensor wire harness and install the right engine shield before fitting back the tire and wheel under the car.
