    A: The maintenance of the throttle position (TP) sensor begins with turning off engine ignition and removing the air intake duct. The installation requires disconnecting evap purge and fuel lines through the quick connect fitting(s) service (Metal Collar) procedure. Start by disconnecting the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector followed by removing the two tp sensor fasteners. Remove the tp sensor and its attached o-ring from the system. To install the new tp sensor you should place an o-ring onto it before installing onto the Throttle Body assembly while using thread-locking compound which should be loctite(R) 262 or gm p/n 1052624 or similar product. Before reconnecting the fuel lines and electrical connector follow the quick connect fitting(s) service (Metal Collar) procedure while using a torque of 2 n.m (18 lb in) to attach the tp sensor screws. Reinstall the air intake duct as the last installation step.
