How to service and repair the Throttle Position Sensor on 2002 Chevrolet Venture?

Before you can repair or service the Throttle Position Sensor, turn off the ignition, then take off the air intake duct. Follow this by taking off the evap purge line, the fuel lines, and the tp sensor's electrical connector. Take off the two tp sensor fasteners and then take out the tp sensor with the 0-ring. When reinstalling, first put the 0-ring on the tp sensor and attach the sensor to the Throttle Body assembly, making sure to use some loctite(R) 262, gm p/n #1052624, or a similar thread-locking compound on the 2 fasteners. Ensure the tp sensor screws are turned to 2 n.m (18 lb in), and after connecting the electrical connector, the evap purge line, and the fuel lines, put the air intake duct back in place.
