The first step in servicing an Ignition Control Module requires complete disconnection of all electrical connectors from the module. Note the spark plug wire arrangement for later installation then remove the wires from the
Ignition Coils. To perform Ignition Coil servicing begin by removing screws holding coil assemblies to the Ignition Control Module. Afterward disconnect the coils from their module location. First detach all fasteners that hold the Ignition Control Module assembly to the engine and extract it from its bracket. The first step to install is placing the Ignition Control Module onto its bracket followed by fitting the coils onto the module. Reinstall the fasteners that join the Ignition Control Module assembly to the engine while strictly following the fastener notice provided in service precautions. Secure the screws by tightening them to 4-5 n.m (40 lb in). To complete the installation reconnect the
Spark Plug Wires according to identified steps and join all electrical connectors to the Ignition Control Module.
