How to replace the wheel speed sensor on an AWD on 2002 GMC Safari?

When fixing the Wheel Speed Sensor of an awd vehicle you must first jack up the car and then take off the wheel and tire. First disconnect the brake caliper and then proceed to remove the hub and rotor. Disconnect the Wheel Speed Sensor electrical plug after taking off its mounting clip from the Control Arm and frame surface. Do not use tools to extract the sensor since this can break the sensor frame when taking it out along the bore. You need to handle the process carefully so your actions do not harm the sealed bearing lubricant that can wreck its working lifespan. Take the Wheel Speed Sensor off the hub and bearing unit. When installing the parts follow all relevant warnings provided in the fastener notice. You need to discard the new o-ring that arrives with the speed sensor and apply minimal bearing grease to the new o-ring before fitting it. Apply grease top and bottom around the new o-ring yet avoid putting grease inside the hub's space. Put the sensor into the hub and bearing housing then fasten its bolts to 18 nm (13 ft. Lbs.). The fresh speed sensor comes prepared with its own sets of mounting clips when you receive it. You need to discard the former clips. Plug in the sensor electrical connection then fix both wire mounting clips onto the Control Arm and frame. Complete the job by putting back the hub and rotor unit with the brake caliper plus replacing the wheel and tire.
