To access the generator output bat terminal connect the generator wiring harness connector then reposition its protective boot away from the terminal. Safe generator replacement requires the battery positive lead to be disconnected first from the generator followed by disconnection of the generator output bat terminal nut. Then remove generator mounting bolts to move the generator out of its vehicle position. Install the generator on the engine followed by bolt attachment where force must reach 37 lbs ft (50 N.m).
