2003 Buick LeSabre EGR Valve Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the EGR valve on 2003 Buick LeSabre?
A: The service of EGR valves starts with turning OFF ignition and removing the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve electrical connector. First unfasten the two EGR valve retaining nuts before extracting the EGR valve from the system. The EGR valve inlet pipe requires you to remove its gasket. At the same time you should clean the pipe because it contains dirt and debris. The EGR inlet pipe installation requires using a new gasket followed by placing the EGR valve and tightening its two nuts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft). The electrical connector for the EGR valve needs reinstallation as the last step.
