How to Replace an A/C Hose in the Evaporator Hose Assembly on 2003 Buick Park Avenue?

The replacement process for the evaporator hose assembly requires refrigerant recovery as the first step. Start by removing the A/C evaporator tube to condenser bolt then move to detach the A/C evaporator tube from the condenser. Start by removing the nut connecting the A/C evaporator tube to the evaporator then detach the tube from the evaporator. Begin replacement of the A/C evaporator tube by disconnecting the frame rail clip from the hose and unclasping all A/C evaporator tube clips before removing the tube from the car. The A/C evaporator tube needs to be positioned properly when installing it in the vehicle after applying the necessary A/C evaporator tube clips. Screw the evaporator tube to the evaporator nut while tightening it to 24 N.m (18 lb ft). Fasten the evaporator tube into its frame rail clip but change the clip with a new one when removing it from service. After positioning the A/C evaporator tube against the condenser you can tighten the A/C evaporator tube to condenser bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb ft). When complete recharge the A/C system before performing component fitting leak tests with the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A).
