2004 Buick Park Avenue Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Replace an A/C Hose in a Compressor Hose Assembly on 2004 Buick Park Avenue?
A: You should first recover the refrigerant when replacing the compressor hose assembly. Start by loosening the Evaporator a/c compressor hose clip and proceed by unscrewing the a/c compressor hose to accumulator nut and finally separate the hose from the accumulator. Begin by disconnecting the retaining clip of the A/C Hose at the frame rail and removing the a/c compressor hose bolt before pulling out the hose from the condenser. Begin hose outlet by first disconnecting the electrical connector from the a/c pressure sensor then taking out the a/c compressor hose by removing the a/c compressor hose to a/c compressor nut. After reconnecting the a/c compressor hose to its position on the vehicle you should affix its end to the compressor and tighten the nut to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Connect the a/c pressure switch electrical connector and put the a/c compressor hose to the condenser while tightening the bolt to 24 n.m (18 lb ft). The a/c compressor hose must be reattached at the frame rail clip even if the clip required replacement due to removal damage. Fasten the a/c compressor hose to the accumulator by using the accumulator nut and tightening it to 24 n.m (18 lb ft). Close the procedure by installing the upper a/c compressor hose clip then recharge the system while also conducting leak tests on component fittings using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
