How to replace the MAP Sensor on 2003 Buick Park Avenue?

The fuel injector sight shield must be removed before switching OFF ignition power during replacement of a manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. Disconnect power to the MAP sensor at its electrical connector before bending locking tabs of the sensor toward the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve cover enough to extract the sensor. Pull the MAP sensor straight out of the PCV valve cover. Check both that the MAP sensor seal is correctly attached to the MAP sensor without any visible damage before moving forward with the installation process. Place and mount the MAP sensor into the PCV valve cover where locking tabs securely lock the sensor into position. First complete the fuel injector sight shield installation while reconnecting the electrical connector.
