Begin the Throttle Body assembly replacement process by disconnecting these four components: the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector, the breather tube from the air intake tube, idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector, and the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector. Cables for accelerator control and Throttle Body bypass hoses along with its heater pipe nut must be removed. After undoing the securing hardware between the Throttle Body and Intake Manifold pull out the complete Throttle Body assembly. Never apply solvents when cleaning the Throttle Body assembly and Intake Manifold gasket surfaces because this will damage the gasket materials.
