First disconnect the electrical connector of the radiator fan before removing the air deflector in order to service or repair this system. The j 44827 tool helps disconnect auxiliary transmission cooler lines from the cooler while you position these lines out of your work area. You should start by taking out the bolts securing the radiator fan assembly (1, 2), after which you need to separate the lower left radiator fan bolt, the radiator fan assembly bolt and the upper left radiator fan bolt to free the assembly from the vehicle. The vehicle receives the radiator fan assembly after proper positioning while lower bolts (1 and 2) must be tightened to 6.5 nm (58 inch lbs.). Torque the fan assembly bolt to match the specification while installing it followed by the final radiator fan bolts which should be tightened to the same amount of 6.5 nm (58 inch lbs.). Use moderate yet controlled force to insert the auxiliary transaxle Oil Cooler line into the fitting before confirming correct connection by stretching the transmission Oil Cooler line mildly. Connect the radiator fan electrical connection while reinstalling the air deflector before verifying the transmission fluid amount.
