How to replace the front door power window regulator on 2003 Cadillac CTS?

You need to start by putting the front door window at the maximum upward position before removing the door trim panel. Then remove the water deflector while using tape to keep the window at the top of its position. The door trim panel wiring harness requires connection through the access holes in the inner panel after the window clamp nuts receive four revolutions of loosening. Lower the regulator 3/4 of its length while disconnecting the electrical connector from the motor on the Window Regulator. Start by removing bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) from the Window Regulator and complete removal of the component from the door. Place the Window Regulator inside the door before tightening all Window Regulator bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) to 9 nm (80 lb in). Place the glass into the regulator clamps so it reaches the back of the window channel when sitting fully supported. Connect the power Window Motor electrical connector then start the vehicle to enable the maximum power needed for correct Window Motor seating. The window clamp nuts should be fastened to 11 nm torque setting (95 lb in) after achieving the full up position. Inspect window mobility and rub up against the frame before powering down the vehicle. Next you should install the water deflector before placing the door trim panel in its proper position.
