    A: The first step to replace the power seat switch requires you to disable the SIR system. The power seat switch becomes accessible by removing the cushion from its track in the adjuster. A flat bladed tool should be used to delicately remove knobs from the switch. The task requires you to squeeze the retainers which secure the power seat switch bezel to the seat cushion frame before you remove the bezel. Your access to the power seat switch begins with releasing the J channel retainers until you can reach the switch and pull out the push-in fastener holding it to the seat cushion frame. Use needle-nose pliers to remove the power seat switch from the seat cushion frame while keeping a record of the proper electric wire course to protect it from damage. The power seat switch needs its electrical connector to be detached. The wiring harness should follow its original placement when installation begins and then the electrical connector must be joined to the power seat switch before sliding the power seat switch upwards for seating within the cushion frame. Fasten the power seat switch using the push-in fastener followed by attaching the seat cushion cover on top of the switch. The power seat switch bezel goes on top of the switches to secure through fasteners that fasten it onto the seat cushion frame. Fasten the power seat switch knobs onto seat cushions along with the seat cushion itself. Finally, enable the SIR system.
