How to replace the horizontal seat motor on 2003 Cadillac CTS?

One must disable the SIR system before starting to replace the horizontal seat adjuster motor. To begin the process start by removing the seat cushion for access to the motor before disconnecting the electrical connectors from its surface. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws located on top of the adjuster motor which will enable you to take out the seat adjuster drive cable. To start you should first take out the seat adjuster motor alongside its accompanying short drive cable from the seat adjuster. The first step for installation requires placing the short drive cable into the seat adjuster with the square-shaped end of the cable correctly positioned for the motor slide. Insert either cable fully into its designated place beginning with the motor then the seating adjuster. Secure the retaining screws to 5 Nm (44 lb in). You need to join the electrical connectors after replacing the seat cushion. Finally, enable the SIR system.
