  A: To replace the console with rpo code uv8, do disable the sir and set the parking brake, next remove the console trim plate, left, and the right console trim panels. Remove the Shift Cable from the shift lever pin and bracket and the park lock cable from the shifter. Remove the storage bins or cd changer and then remove cover from the floor of storage bin. Unplug the floor console electric connectors (3,2,1) and move the front seats back to access the front console to floor bolts. Take the bolts to hold the metal bracket arms to the floor off, the nuts from the console rear to the Floor Pan, and the screws off the console to the lower instrument panel (I/P). Pull the rear of the floor console to remove the cellular phone communications, unplug the cellular phone electrical connector and the coaxial cable and slide the console rear wards and keep it out of the motor vehicle. To install, partially install the floor console, lift the rear to access the cellular phone connections and reconnect the cellular phone electrical connector and coaxial cable. Connect the floor console electrical connectors and raise the rear of the floor console and slide it forward to match the bottom i/p placing the rear on back studs. Remove the screws from the floor console and set them to the lower i/p and tighten to 2 n.m (18 lb in)) then turn the nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in) and then turn the bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Tie the underside of electrical connectors (1,2,3), of console to the underside cables of the console, connect the console cover to the floor of the storage bin and reconnect the park cable lock to the console and Shift Cable to the shifter. Finally, fix the left and right console trim panels, the console trim plate, and the storage bins or cd changer, if necessary, and enable the sir.
